Freeman Funeral Home serves families across Mississippi and Alabama from two chapels — both staffed by licensed directors, both available 24 hours a day.
The original Freeman Funeral Home has served Wayne County families since 1928. Located just 2.5 miles from downtown Waynesboro, our spacious, fully accessible chapel provides a dignified setting for services of every kind.
Marlon Walley and a full team of licensed funeral directors and assistants staff the Waynesboro chapel. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM — but our directors are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Serving families throughout Wayne County and surrounding communities including Waynesboro, Leakesville, Matherville, Barlow, Yarbo, Bigbee, Koenton, Aquilla, Healing Springs, Copeland, Stateline, and beyond.
Serving families throughout Mobile County and Southwest Alabama, including Citronelle and the surrounding communities of the greater Mobile area.
Freeman Funeral Home has served Citronelle and Mobile County families since 1967, when the chapel was established following the acquisition of Higgins Mortuary. Today it is led by owner and Certified Funeral Service Practitioner Mark N. Craddock, CFSP — who has served this community for over 33 years.
Mark’s credentials are exceptional: appointed to the Alabama Board of Funeral Service by four governors, he served as the board’s chairperson for 12 of his 14 years. The Citronelle chapel holds Alabama Funeral Home License #82.
Both locations are staffed by licensed directors available around the clock, every day of the year.
