Dorothy Mae Williams, 83, of Waynesboro, Mississippi passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born in Wayne County, she was a beloved wife, mother of four, and devoted member of her church community for over 60 years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, her four children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro Chapel.
James Arthur Henderson, 77, of Citronelle, Alabama, passed from this life after a brief illness. James served honorably in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran who received the Bronze Star for his service.
He is remembered as a man of deep faith, extraordinary integrity, and unshakable dedication to his family and community. Full military honors were coordinated by Freeman Funeral Home, Citronelle Chapel.
Ruth Elaine Carroll, 70, of Waynesboro, was called home on December 1, 2025. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Ruth was known for her warmth, her legendary cooking, and the way she made every person feel welcome in her home.
She is survived by three children, eight grandchildren, and a community that loved her deeply. A full memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, with interment at Shady Grove Cemetery.
